Sandeep on Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor
The director, who gained notoriety for his work on Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devarakonda and its Hindi remake Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor, expressed his delight at seeing Ranbir Kapoor completely reinvent himself as Arjun Singh in Animal.
In a recent interview, Sandeep told news agency PTI,
"Ranbir is a great actor; he is in a different league altogether." He
is quite creative. It would be unfair to compare him to other actors, but I
think he is a combination of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Kamal Haasan. There
are no limits for this man, Ranbir."
Bobby Deol is also a star in the film. Sandeep stated
that Bobby was always the first choice for the role in the film. "Bobby
Deol is a wonderful man. Bobby was on our minds from the beginning. In 2020 or
2021, when I had called, he was promoting the Class of 83. We shot a scene in
Scotland at minus three degrees Celsius where he is bare-chested. He said,
"He came, he made the shot."
Animal, which is being produced by T-Series, Cine1
Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures, will be released in theaters in the languages
of Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada on December 1. This is the
first time Rashmika and Ranbir have worked together.
