 Arsenal defeated promoted Luton with a last-minute victory to take a five-point lead in the English Premier League. When Gabriel Martinelli completed a move started by Bukayo Saka, the Gunners were able to break the tie at Kenilworth Road. Shortly after, Gabriel Osho's header tied the score, and Gabriel Jesus made it 2-1. After Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley scored in a frantic eight minutes in Bedfordshire, the Hatters looked like they might overtake the leaders. But Mikel Arteta's team pulled off another improbable victory away thanks to Declan Rice's header in stoppage time. Luton is in 17th place with nine points from 15 games, while Arsenal has 36 points from 15 games.
